Europa raising money for BBC Children in Need

Europa has raised £1500.00 for the BBC Children in Need Appeal.

In each of the offices throughout the UK Europa personnel entered a prize draw to win a night for two at Lumley Castle, one of the most haunted castles in the country.

The BBC Children in Need Appeal is the most important single event in the BBC calendar and the only occasion when the whole of the BBC joins together to raise money towards helping children and young people in the UK.

Europa Worldwide Logistics Glasgow was entrusted by the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews with the responsibility to arrange the safe transportation and delivery of the WALKER CUP TROPHY to the Chicago Golf Club, Wheaton Illinois.

The Walker Cup is scheduled to be played during August 2005 in the USA between the leading amateur players of the USA and GB & Ireland teams.

Pictured with the trophy is Tom Gibbons, Operations Manager monitoring the safe handling of the consignment being transferred from the Europa Glasgow terminal onto the vehicle making the delivery direct to Glasgow airport for its flight connection to Chicago via Europa’s express next day delivery service direct from Scotland.

Europa donates minibus to charity

A scheme designed to provide easy, affordable transport to charities and voluntary groups is now benefiting from its third vehicle - The Europa Charity Minibus.

Roland Rampat of Europa had the pleasure of handing over the minibus to Andrew Grieve of BATS.

The Bexley Accessible Transport Scheme (BATS) set up with Lottery and Bridge House Trust cash already has two minibusses ready for hire. Now it has been given a new 12 seater minibus with passsenger lift by Erith-based company Europa Worldwide Logistics.

Europa raises cash for its charitable fund which is used to support good causes and this year some of the money was used to buy the minibus.

Accepting the gift BATS co-ordinator Andrew Grieve said it was very unusual for a commercial logistics company to sponsor a community transport scheme.
